Osgood-Schlatter is defined as inflammation in the area below the knee cap where the patellar tendon attaches on the tibia. This is due to repetitive force from activities that causes the quadriceps to pull on the patellar tendon and cause pain at the tibial tuberosity where a epiphyseal plate is in adolescents.
